- City of Malibu permitsMalibu issues its own building permits through the city's Building Safety Division, and LA County Fire reviews fire and fuel-modification requirements on new construction. We prepare electrical plans for city plan check and meet the inspector on site.

We're rebuilding after a fire. When should we bring in the electrician?
Early, ideally during design. We work with your architect on service size, panel location, lighting, shade and speaker wiring, network and cameras, so the electrical plans go into City of Malibu plan check complete and the walls only get wired once.
How do you deal with salt air on outdoor equipment?
We use corrosion-resistant enclosures, weather-resistant receptacles, stainless or coated hardware and outdoor-rated network gear, and we place equipment where it's sheltered when possible. Older rusted panels and meter bases are worth checking before they fail.
Can you protect my electronics when Edison restores power?
Yes. We install whole-home surge protection at the panel, add point-of-use protection for AV and network racks, and check breakers and GFCIs after an outage so everything comes back up safely.
Are you licensed and insured to work in Malibu?
